Mount Ruapehu

Mount Ruapehu, Mount Ngauruhoe and Mount Tongariro are three mountains on the New Zealand North Island Central Plateau. You see Mount Ruapehu first as you approach from the south, then you drive up and over the beautiful Desert Road and get a spectacular view of all three mountains. It is picturesque at any time of the year but these watercolours were all painted in winter.
