The charming village
of Ahrenhoop in north eastern Germany on the Baltic Sea became an
'artists village' at the turn of the last century. It has clear light
and striking colours, qualities which must have attracted artists
at the time. It is still just as pretty today, with its thatched houses,
sea shore and quaint harbour on the Lake or 'Bodden'. An artists paradise
still.
