About Aiko Goto

Aiko Goto was born in Japan and began studying the violin at the age of three. She grew up in Tokyo and in 1991 graduated from the Toho Gakuen School of Music receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Violin Performance. She went to the USA in 1991 to pursue graduate studies at The Juilliard School of Music, graduating in 1994.

She won Artist International's 1994 Young Artists Award in New York and made her New York Debut at The Carnegie Weil Recital Hall in 1995 receiving the highest critical acclaim.

Aiko has been a member of the
Australian Chamber Orchestra since 1999.
