Cinque Cafe in Newtown

These cafe sketches were painted at Cinque Café (next to the Dendy Cinema in Newtown, Sydney) in the year 2000. Cinque Café has gone but anyone there at the time will remember Cinque Café with fondness. It was manged by the wonderfully kind and empathetic Poppy. Her brother was chief cook. They were one of the first cafés in Newtown to display the work of local artists on their walls. What pleasant memories!
